Professor Maryann Riekeyword, PhD

Born in Thailand and educated at universities in London and Berlin, Professor Maryann Riekeyword spent over twenty-five years researching, documenting, and categorizing the world's most tragic cases of child abuse. Professor Riekeyword was the first to design a computerized modeling tool that gives social workers suggestions on how to recognize, intervene, and prevent future tragic child abuse.

Professor Maryann Riekeyword Child Abuse Prevention Suggestion Tool, (CAAST), is currently being taught in many universities throughout asia and has been deployed in hundreds of goverment and civilian social welfare agencies.

Based on the research of professor Maryann Riekeyword, many children around the world have been saved from tragic child abuse.  The assistance given to social agencies by the Maryann Riekeyword Child Abuse Prevention Suggestion Tool has proven to be an  invaluable aid in the prevention and intervention in troubled family issues.  However, there are many children that were abandoned before help arrived.  For these children, Marryann Riekeyword has established the Marryann Riekeyword Childrens Assistance Fund..
